EMail Protocol

How would you like to send a message to a single email address that would go to all former classmates that have subscribed? How would you like to hear how accomplished our classmates have become?

We are offering this exciting opportunity. It allows you to communicate with hundreds of our classmates by sending a message to one email address! Participation is purely voluntary. You must subscribe to begin the process. To skip the introduction click here.

Introduction:

This type of system is called a "listserv." A computer manages the mundane functions of list. The list is called Mumford63. It is free to subscribe or unsubscribe. Once you subscribe, you will receive messages from anyone who writes to the list, and you may send notes to everyone on the list.  I manage this system, and will never make the subscriber names nor their email addresses public. None of the information you've sent to me will be available to subscribers without your consent.

You can expect to receive 0 to 8 messages per day. If you write the list a message, please write your topic in the subject line. This helps others decide whether to open it, or to delete it without opening it.

Topics may include:

Autobiographies for those who did not know you at Mumford
Accomplishments, hobbies, awards
Your family, job or anything you are proud of
Favorite teachers
High school memories both good and bad
Who's planning to come to our reunion
Trying to re-connect with old friends
Telling everyone on the list that you've moved or changed email addresses

Topics not permitted include:

Advertising, spam
Insults, profanity
Inflammatory remarks

Anyone who sends off-topic (not permitted) messages will be blocked from subscribing.

To minimize the chance of viruses, attachments will not be allowed.

You will receive a confirmation request to which you must reply. This is to prevent advertisers (called "spammers") from subscribing to our list.

To send an email message to everyone who has subscribed, send it to:

There is no limit to how often you may subscribe or unsubscribe, as it is done by the computer.
